End User License Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("User") and Alessio Polidoro ("Licensor") regarding the use of the Complia consent management engine builder ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.

1. Grant of License

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Licensor grants User a specific, limited license to use the Service as follows:

1.1 Permitted Uses

• Access and Use: User may access the Service via the official website (complia.app) for the purpose of generating cookie consent banners.
• Commercial Use: The Service may be used for both personal and commercial projects without restriction or cost.
• No Accounts Required: Use of the Service does not currently require account registration or payment of fees.

2. Ownership of Generated Content

A distinctive feature of the Complia Service is the clear separation of rights regarding the output generated by the User.

2.1 User Ownership

User retains full, exclusive ownership of all HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code exported or copied from the Service ("Generated Content").

• User may modify, distribute, sublicense, and use the Generated Content in any manner they see fit.
• No attribution to Complia or Licensor is required in the Generated Content.
• There are no restrictions on the deployment or usage of the Generated Content.

3. Proprietary Rights and Restrictions

While the Generated Content is owned by the User, the Service itself remains the exclusive property of the Licensor.

3.1 Reservation of Rights

The Licensor retains all right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including but not limited to the underlying source code, algorithms, design, "worst-case WCAG validation" logic, and user interface.

3.2 Prohibited Actions

User shall not, directly or indirectly:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
• Copy, clone, fork, or reproduce the Service's interface or functionality to create a competing product.
• Redistribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the Service or access to the Service.
• Host a standalone instance of the Complia builder application.

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

4.1 "As Is" Basis

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

4.2 No Legal Advice

The Service is a technical tool designed to assist with creating compliance interfaces. It does NOT constitute legal advice.

User is solely responsible for ensuring their use of the Generated Content complies with applicable laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and ePrivacy Directive. Licensor makes no guarantee that Generated Content will satisfy legal requirements in User's jurisdiction.

User is strongly advised to consult with qualified legal counsel regarding data privacy compliance.

5. Intellectual Property and Enforcement

The Service is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions.

Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the Service may result in legal action, including DMCA takedown notices and claims for damages under applicable copyright law.
